To eat?  Pumpkin Spice Loaf 

To do?  Measure out 6 oz. of dough/ play with dough.

If you could be a cookie package, where would you want to be shipped?  Florence. 

What smells the best when it’s in the oven?  Olive and Goat Cheese Pizza. 

Favorite cookie or other bakery item?  Mexican wedding cakes.

If you could be one thing in the bakery, what would you be and why?  I would be a mixer, I’d get to play in everything.

What brought you to NYC and the bakery?  Graduate school to study vocal performance.  I came to the bakery because I love, love, love to eat.

What’s your favorite thing at the bakery:

To eat?  Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip Cookies

To do?  Bug Connie

If you could be a cookie package, where would you want to be shipped?  The outerbanks of NC.  There’s nothing better than reading a book by the beach and playing games when it rains.

What smells the best when it’s in the oven?  Ugh-scones! Soo good.

If you could be one thing in the bakery, what would you be and why?  The coffee machine- because its gets alot of attention.  NO really, anything but a cookie because I’d like a longer life-span.

What brought you to NYC and the bakery?  The prospects of success in the big city and making delicious things with fun people.

To eat?  Whole Wheat Raisin Walnut Rolls

To do?  Make delicious things.

If you could be a cookie package, where would you want to be shipped?  Paisley Park, the White House, the Taj Mahal

What smells the best when it’s in the oven?  The pizzas.  Everything.

Favorite cookie or other bakery item?  Warm Oatmeal Raisin Cookies…man oh man.

If you could be one thing in the bakery, what would you be and why?  I would be a Walnut Sticky Bun - I’d have Monday through Friday off and Oprah would give me props and make me famous. 

What’s your favorite song played at the bakery?  The weird one that starts “Brothers and Sisters… Brothers and Sisters…”

Cat or Dog?  Dog!  But I just got a kitten named Trudy two days ago.

Why should you have all the fun chowing down on our scrumptious baked goods?  Bring down your best friend – and we don’t mean the one you call up for last minute fashion tips – to share in the bounty.

Dogs aren’t allowed in the bakery, but they are always welcome to stop by for a tasty (and did we mention FREE) treat.  Now you can both reward yourselves after a nice long walk or run.   We will be taking pictures of our regular canine compatriots for the blog.

Foozle & Bandit 

Foozle & Bandit wait for their treat.

This doggie blog post is about two of the cutest little rascals we have ever seen.  They constantly follow their noses to Levain from over 14 blocks away, and try to make it over to the bakery even if not their owner’s intended destination.

The owner, Christina, has brought these delightful bundles of energy down for over two years!  Come rain or shine, they faithfully wait outside, and even have their own personal umbrella set up.
