Levain Bakery…a little bakery with a big presence

Oct 1, 2009 12:00 PM, by Katherine Martin, chief editor

“With the good fortune of being written up in numerous travel guidebooks and being showcased several times on the Food Network, this 500-sq.-ft. bakery is a go-to destination for thousands visiting New York City.”

These Customers Always Eat for Free: Foozle & Bandit

Why should you have all the fun chowing down on our scrumptious baked goods?  Bring down your best friend – and we don’t mean the one you call up for last minute fashion tips – to share in the bounty.

Dogs aren’t allowed in the bakery, but they are always welcome to stop by for a tasty (and did we mention FREE) treat.  Now you can both reward yourselves after a nice long walk or run.   We will be taking pictures of our regular canine compatriots for the blog.

Come down and get featured today!

Foozle & Bandit

Foozle & Bandit wait for their treat. Foozle & Bandit wait for their treat.

This doggie blog post is about two of the cutest little rascals we have ever seen.  They constantly follow their noses to Levain from over 14 blocks away, and try to make it over to the bakery even if not their owner’s intended destination.

The owner, Christina, has brought these delightful bundles of energy down for over two years!  Come rain or shine, they faithfully wait outside, and even have their own personal umbrella set up.
